Emily wasn't in any of the short stories, and I can't think of Elizabeth being in any, either (but I could be wrong on that). Nellie was in a few, and it would probably be smart of them to change a few of her outfits to reflect the ones she has in her collection, (but then, they didn't care much about that with Nellie's own book, lol!). However, I'd rather them not change the illustrations just for outfits. I can see them (unfortunately) changing Elizabeth's looks if she is in any, and giving Emily longer hair.

There is a new short story release coming out. Miki posted about it here. I think the idea for this, though, is to just condense them into one book per girl, instead of the 32 "current" (retired, really) ones.

Most of the short story outfits are already retired, and I can't see them bringing them back. I can see them bringing back a new one for each girl to go with the short story collections, but not bringing back the old outfits.

Personally, I think something a lot of people here forget is that, although they might have missed an outfit, these short story outfits were around for a few years, and most retired very recently. The majority of the people who would buy them already have them, so bringing out the exact same thing wouldn't get nearly as many people buying them as bringing out a new outfit, that no one has yet. But then, there'd be much less cost in bringing these back instead of creating an all new outfit. So, who knows?

Molly might be a different story, though, as they'll be getting a bunch of new AG fans when her stuff is released this year. I can see (and hope) they bring back the Victory Garden dress, because it's so cute.
